8. Tonkichi

Indulge in an authentic Tonkatsu dining experience with Tonkichi. Since their doors opened in 1993, the modern Tonkatsu restaurant prepares their dishes via traditional Japanese methods, and is notably ‘fried food haven’ for many.

No doubt, Tonkichi’s Chicken Katsu Don Set ($20.90) is not one to be missed.

An OG in the eyes of the Japanese, the Chicken Katsu Don consists of thick chicken chops, coated in breadcrumbs and fried to perfection. Its interior is juicy and tender, whereas its crisp exterior is fried to a glistening golden brown.
